SDC2025 Worlds Event Update
As we are quickly approaching SDC 2025 Worlds here at Super-G, this update will try to cover any uncertainties leading up to the event.

First I want to wish everyone safe travels as you come to SoCal. Whether you are driving or flying, the most important thing is you make it safely.

This year we have 168 Competitors, so this is going to present some new situations that we are not familiar with as of yet. We are trying to be as prepared as possible, but we all know how that goes.

With that being said, we hope all of you SDC veterans can help the new-comers to understand what is going on and to help keep things moving along. Also, since there are only a few of us here at Super-G, we are hoping you can all help us out by keeping an eye on things.

If the bathrooms need attention, let one of us know. Out of soap, paper towels, toilet paper, let one of us know. Trash over flowing, let one of us know. Someone spilled something and it needs to be cleaned up, let one of us know. We want to make this the very best we can for all of you, but we can’t be everywhere all the time. I know we are organizing the event, but really we consider you all family and this event is ALL OF OUR’S.

Parking
Please be mindful of our neighbors and do not block their units. Also, PLEASE do not park in areas that are fenced off. It should go without saying, but they are fenced off for a reason.

Practice Groups
We will be having Practice Groups as soon as there are too many drivers on the track to get comfortable laps in. You all know the drill, so just be ready. During the Practice Groups, we do not want to see anyone tandeming. People are working on their lines and trying to figure things out. The last thing they need is someone on their door, trying to make battle of it.

Does everyone need to drive from the driver’s stand?
Yes. Not only that, please pay attention to the line on the driver’s stand. Standing in front of that line will potentially block the view of the other drivers. During the battles, this can be cause for disqualification. Please be mindful of this.

SDC2025 Worlds Format
This year due to time constraints, everyone is allowed to run their Qualifying runs. The Top 94 will make it to the Battles.

Qualifying - Tanso
Friday will be Round 1 of Qualifying. Everyone will have 2 qualifying runs (back to back).

Saturday, everyone will be given ONE last qualifying run for a total of 3. In the event of a tie score, the other 2 scores will be added to break the tie. If there is still a tie, registration order will be the tie-breaker.

The Top 94 qualifiers will make it to the Battles. Why 94, don’t you mean 96? No, it’s 94 because 31 are seeded in the Top 32 with one slot for the bump up. 31 are seeded in the Mid Bracket with one slot for the bump up. 32 are seeded in the Lower Bracket. 31+31+32 = 94.

Battles - Tsuiso
Saturday after qualifying, the brackets will be formed and the first 2 rounds of battles will take place Saturday evening. The Lower Bracket will be first and the winner of the Lower Bracket will advance to the Mid Bracket. The winner of the Mid Bracket will advance to the Top 32 to battle on Sunday for the title of U.S. Drift King!!!

Rule Clarification
Signs of melted tires (from driving) is NOT considered abnormal wear. However, purposely abusing the track / tires will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave. Use your head.

Tires
Tires for SDC2025 Worlds are DS Racing Comp III LF-3. Friday night, before you leave, make sure to turn in your tires in the bag they were provided in. They will be returned to you Saturday when you return. Failure to do so will result in the need to purchase and run a new set of tires to continue in the competition.

Sunday, Top 32 will be given a fresh set of REAR Tires to be used that day in the Top 32 Bracket.

I wanted to make this post look better with pics and such, but with the time crunch we are on, this will need to do. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in a week!
