The calm before the storm...

Day 0, Friday Night, 7pm. Cristian of Reflex Racing got to work with a track layout. Josh, Alan, and Jose jumped right in to help make this weekend possible. Cristian didn't have a complete count of our track pieces, so he make due with what we had. The mastermind schemed a layout that was going to be challenging while maintaining a the fun aspect.
After a couple hours of track legos, we had something solid. The infield had a small section of 2 tiles. Also track was going to be counter clock wise. This was going to shake things up and level the playing field for everybody.

Day 1
Doors opened at 9am, there was already a line of drivers ready to come and see the new layout. It was a nice start

Cristian was going to be the Race Director and jumped right into the Super-G LIVE-RC computer. Getting everybody added into the system, and got the walk-ons registered.

We had open practice for a couple hours. Lunch was a Jimmy John's run. We had the Jimmy John workers doing OT as they assembled nearly 20 sammishes!
After chowing down, it was time for the meat and potatoes of the weekend. We jumped right into the drivers meeting.

After going over specifics and tech rules. Juan (Team Super-G Drifter) jumped in to assist with tech. We were checking pinions, blinky modes and voltage!

Cristian showed Juan how to use the multimeter. It was Juan's first time teching.

As tech was getting sorted, the driver's kept bringing their lap times down. It was really nice to watch how they adapted to a new layout and reverse rotation. Times were dropping like flies! The first round of qualifying was about to get underway.

After 2 Rounds of Qualifying, it was time to do concourse.

Jose jumped in with Cristian to judge. Reflex Racing had some nice prizes for the best of the best

The winners all won a new MF-1 body and a motor, of course sponsored by Reflex Racing.
Now that the day is done, it was time to eat. What better food to go with little cars than a tiny pizza or two.

We should have put a 1/28 car next to the pizza for a ratio/scale photo. These giants barely fit through the door way!
Everybody had a blast and the food was on point!
Here are the results to Day 1 - Round 1 and Round 2 of Qualifying
Day 2
Everybody got some rest and started at 9am again. This time, we brought donuts!

A couple dozen donuts right before racing will keep the sugar levels high!

Same format, a couple hours of practice then a quick burrito run to Pepe's Mexican.
With everybody battling food comas, it was time to race!
We started doing Round 3 and Round 4 of qualifying:
Now that all the qualifying is done. It was time for the MAINS!
This is the main event!

Cristian back on the mic, Joe and Josh double teaming tech. It was go time!

After many laps, and even some EasyLap (failure and restarts), we have some podiums!
It was the official Awards Ceremony

It was nice for old friends to meet and greet. It was also nice to put faces on some names. Some people met Cristian for the first time, some haven't seen each other in years. It was an awesome event. Thank you Reflex Racing!
