YOKOMO YD-2 BIG BORE SHOCK TAPER PISTION FOR LF BIG BORE SHOCK
COMES AS PACKS OF 2.
1.1MM X 6 HOLE (Y2-S116T)
1.2MM X 6 HOLE (Y2-S126T)
YD-2 series SLF big bore shock taper piston. This is a Teams brand product developed by Team YOKOMO DRIFT members. One side of the piston surface has a tapered shape, and the damping feeling differs depending on the mounting direction. It is possible to soften the feeling on the extension side of the shock by lowering the taper surface, and soften the feeling on the contraction side of the shock by raising the taper surface.
In addition, the piston hole is sloped diagonally with respect to the shock operating direction, and the damping changes with respect to a sudden shock input due to the action of fluid dynamics, and the movement passes through the gap while being supple in normal operation. At times, it has the effect of suppressing disturbance of the machine’s behavior with a high damping force.
In the drift category, the shock operation is often set to be soft, but if too soft shock oil is used, the oil film will run out between the O-ring and the shock shaft, and the shock operation will be regulated momentarily. Therefore, this taper piston has a 6-hole design exclusively for drift, which has more holes than usual, and it is easy to avoid running out of oil film by using oil around # 300.
Contains 2 pieces, includes 2 spare e-clips
