Reflex Racing 8.5mm LOW PROFILE SLICK TIRES - 30 / 40 / 45 DEG for Mini-Z [Reflex Racing] RX604-40 RX604-45
All new from Reflex Racing is our brand new Low Profile slick tires for RCP tracks. These tires are made from a very tough and long lasting grippy rubber. They were developed to match the grip envelope of our 30 degree radials.
We recommend to mount the tires 1 of 2 ways:
For a less hassle, no truing method, mount on a Reflex Racing Speed Dish Wheel with a 22.6 plate. Let the tire break in over time. It is very long lasting, but the results are that the tire works after a couple of laps. If it is too aggressive in the middle of the corner, try removing some camber or running a softer front spring.
If you like to true your tires, mount them up on a truer and bring them down to 22.7-22.8mm and use with a 22.6 plate. After truing, the tires may be a little bit aggressive while they break in, so make sure you have some freshly skimmed 30 degree rear radials or you may have too much front bite. Since the material is very hard, we recommend running the tire truer where the tire and drum are spinning away from each other. With the PN Brand of truers, we find the most success running the truer in reverse and around 6v.
So when do you chose the 45 vs the 40? The 40 cuts a little bit harder, but it is smoother in the middle of the corner. Opposite is true for the 45. It really depends on what you are trying to do. If you want more middle and exit, use the 45. If you want smoother middle and exit, use the 40.

We recommend the 30 degree rear tires under most conditions. They work well in temps as low as 45 degrees (F) and perform well all the way into the 80's (F). If the grip is higher, simply cut the tire down smaller if you want a little more rotation in tight corners.
