Equipped with DFA mechanism (DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTMENT)

The damping force of the damper can be changed by turning the dial (12 turns). It
is possible to change the settings in detail according to the driving scene and the machine, such as suppressing roll and pitching to increase stability.


Damper shaft surface treatment + DLC coating
"Arc-DLC coating" is used for the ultra-mirror-finished damper rod.
Unlike painting and anodizing, a nano-level thin film composed of carbon and hydrogen is coated on the metal surface. The
oil sealing has also been improved, realizing a long damper life.
The shaft is cut and mirror-finished at a Japanese factory, and the coating is requested from a domestic company famous for ICF, PECVD, and DLC.

Piston shape
By increasing the piston thickness, the damper rigidity is increased and the rattle during stroke is greatly reduced
By making a groove in the piston part that contacts the cylinder, friction is reduced.

By drilling a very small hole of 0.3 mm in the top
, the damping on the extension side and the damping on the compression side of the damper are adjusted .



Suspension structure We have completely reconsidered the construction of conventional radio-controlled oil dampers. The Nerd Damper has succeeded in flowing oil inside the shaft
like a real car shock . This means that unlike flowing oil into the piston hole, it exerts a completely different damping force in the entire range than previous radio-controlled dampers . *Please use the "HRC X-ring guide set" for the O-ring. *Please use "HRC Nd oil" for damper oil, which is specially designed for Nerd Damper. *Cylinders, damper caps, diaphragms, rod guides, etc. are not included with this product. Please use Tamiya (TRF) products. Please use this damper oil. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Optional Adjustable Spring Retainer The spring retainer is made with a screw type for the nerd damper . The preload on the spring can be adjusted on the retainer side. The ball end mounting position can also be raised and lowered to adjust the overall length of the damper. By fixing the retainer with a pillow ball, you can easily adjust the damping dial by holding the retainer with your hand. For details, see the HRC blog. How to adjust the damping force Turn the red dial towards - to make it softer, and turn it towards + to make it harder and harder. Rotate the click (damping force adjustment dial) clockwise, and the point where it stops is step 0 (the step with the highest damping force). Using this step 0 as a reference, rotating counterclockwise will decrease the damping force. The weakest is 12 turns from step 0 (the step with the lowest damping force). If you don't know how many times you have turned it, return it to 0 and then adjust it again. Included: NARD Damper Shaft, Special Piston, Damping Force Adjustment Dial
