D-Like LP-86 Spec Class

May 10, 2025

D-Like had released the LP-86 as an affordable, fun chassis. A nice break from the seriousness of the typical “Comp” chassis of today. We have been in contact with them since the release and their vision for this chassis has always been to focus on affordable fun.

We feel this is the perfect platform for a Spec Class. There are very little tuning options (depending on how you look at it) and it works well right out of the box. Keeping with the vision of D-Like, we are going to keep the LP-86 Spec Class light and fun and attempt to keep the cost to a minimum. A class that can be won on skill alone. No advantage for having deep pockets. This can be ideal for a wide audience, experienced and beginner alike.

This is our first run at it, so let’s see how this goes. We were going to start this last year, but due to the lack of available chassis, we were forced to hold off. Now is the time! There may need to be some adjustments made to the rules, but we need to start somewhere.

Hope you guys can come out and see how this all works out. We are doing it Fun Comp style, so your track fee is your entry fee.
